Regional Governors of Haskovo and Evros- Ms. Yovcheva and Mr. Minopolus, the Leader of the project \u2013 Ms. Velikova and the Greek Coordinator of the project- Mr. Arseniu, took part in the meeting.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">A business meeting of the Project Executive Committee was implemented on 2 May 2007 in Alexandroupolis. The objective of the meeting was to be presented the achieved results and to be fixed tasks for the next period. The following people took part in this meeting: Margarita Velikova- Leader of the project; Spiridon Arseniu- Greek Coordinator of the project; International Partnerships Coordinator; Training and Qualifications Coordinator; Promotion, Publishing and Communications Coordinator and the Accountant of the project. One of the Greek experts, responsible for Activity 2- \u201cStudy and Analysis Activities\u201d, also took part in the meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>Seminar: \u201cEU Technical Requirements and Standards\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">On 26and 27 July 2007, RMA \u201cMaritza\u201d organized a Bulgarian-Greek seminar in Haskovo on subject: \u201cEU Technical Requirements and Standards\u201d. This was the first seminar under the project \u201cHaskovo and Evros Business-together in Europe \u201d, financed by PHARE Cross-Border Co-operation Programme Bulgaria- Greece 2004.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The objective of the seminar was to contribute to beneficiaries&#8217; information increase about EU technical requirements and the positive practices of their implementation; experience exchange between the business from both sides of the border; establishment of cross-border partnerships.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Business representatives, representatives of the local and regional authorities, NGO&#8217;s, journalists from the region, and business representatives from Evros took part in the initiative.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>Seminar: \u201cTrade aspects of accession. Public- Private Partnership- opportunities and best practices\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">On 23 and 24 August 2007 RMA \u201cMaritza\u201d organized a Bulgarian-Greek seminar in haskovo on subject: \u201cTrade aspects of accession. Public-Private Partnership &#8211; opportunities and best practices\u201d. This was the second seminar under the project \u201cHaskovo and Evros Business- together in Europe \u201d, financed by PHARE Cross-Border Co-operation Programme Bulgaria- Greece 2004.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The objective of the seminar was to contribute to beneficiaries&#8217; information increase about the trade aspects of accession to EU, the benefits and the best practices of the implementation of PPP&#8217;s; experience exchange and establishment of cross-border partnerships.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Business representatives from Evros and Haskovo, representatives of the local and regional authorities and NGOs took part in the seminar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><strong>Final Forum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">RMA \u201cMaritza\u201d organized Bulgarian-Greek Final forum in \u201cMaritza\u201d hall in Regional Administration Haskovo on 22 November 2007. The initiative is implemented on the project \u201cHaskovo and Evros Business \u2013 Together in Europe\u201d with the financial support of PHARE Cross-border Cooperation programme\u00a0Bulgaria\u00a0\u2013 Greece 2004. The forum is the final stage of the project, which has been implemented during the period of December 2006 \u2013 November 2007.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a047 people participated in the forum \u2013 representatives of the business from Haskovo region,\u00a0Bulgaria\u00a0and Evros region,\u00a0Greece\u00a0, and representatives of the local authorities and NGOs that work in the field of the business development in both countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Within the framework of the initiative the Project leader \u2013 Margarita Atanasova, presented the project\u2019s stages of implementation and the achieved results. The Greek Coordinator on the project \u2013 Spiridon Arseniu, presented the achieved results from the partnership with RMA \u201cMaritza\u201d and he presented also the instruments for financing by the EU and the future cooperation between the two border regions\u00a0Haskovo\u00a0,\u00a0Bulgaria\u00a0and Evros\u00a0Greece\u00a0.
