Activity 2 of this project “From Immigration to Integration” is for the development of Handbook for municipalities, private companies and NGOs to develop effective mechanisms to ensure effective involvement of immigrants in local labor markets. This activity aims to increase the capacity of local and regional authorities to prepare measures to provide support for initiatives and actions to promote integration. The developed handbook which can be downloaded by all users from the website www.bgimigranti.com and presented for free in Bulgarian and English includes lessons and best practices learned from the experience of the institutions responsible for policy development and working in this field in Europe. By collecting and presenting concrete examples from different areas of integration of immigrants the developed handbook fits into the broader process of policy making in the field of integration.

Activity 3 of this project “From Immigration to Integration” is for the implementation of a study on the integration of immigrants and expectations perception of the Bulgarian society – different viewpoints and possible solutions to the question “for” and “against” immigration in Bulgaria, as well as summarizing the results of the study in a report, which each user can find on the web site for free. The main objective of this activity is to identify and systematize information which can be used for solving the problems with the participation of all stakeholders.

The main objective of the project activity 4 “From Immigration to Integration” is creating a database through which to be able to summarize the opportunities to inform citizens of third countries to obtain information in Bulgaria on issues related to everyday problems, training, health, participation in the processes of decision-making, etc. The creation of links with all relevant institutions, organizations and information materials concerning the life of third-country nationals (TCN) in Bulgaria will be in favor of TCN in Bulgaria, as well as of organizations working for the integration of immigrants in Bulgaria.

The project “From Immigration to Integration” is performed transparently in accordance with the Scheme BG EIF 2012/01 and art. 6 of the General Conditions to funded by the European Fund for the Integration of third-country nationals grant contracts. The project has planned information campaign aimed at the media, the host society and institutions. The following measures are implemented:
– printing of Handbook for municipalities, private companies and NGOs to develop effective mechanisms to ensure effective involvement of immigrants in local labor markets /500 copies/
– printing of Brochures with the results from the study on the integration of immigrants and expectations perception of the Bulgarian society /1000 copies/;
– Placing one information board on the project office;
– 4 publications in a daily newspaper during the project to raise awareness activities;
– updating the web platform for online training and information of third-country nationals in Bulgaria www.bgimigranti.com with developed materials and products on the project, dissemination of information materials on local and regional institutions involved with this problem in the region.
Information materials are prepared in simple language so that beneficiaries receive the maximum useful information.
